Well I'm confused... as soon as I have built my DAW, the questione comes: What should I upgrade?
This is my list:
Mobo Asus P4B533-V (upgrade BIOS?)
soundcard RME Hammerfall LE 9636 (upgrade drivers?)
Win XP-pro.. is there anything to upgrade?...( the DAW is not connected to internet )
And finally Cubase SX v.1.03 (upgrade or not?)
Some says that 1.03 is running more smooth than 1.05... any opinions about that?
And... they say that v.2.0 is here soon.
That's all for now...
I'd be grateful for any input on this subject.

What I've read from the Cubase forums is there seems to be problems with the version 1.05. But the larger question is why do you need to upgrade? Are you currently experiencing any problems? I'm personally of the mind of - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Thanx for the reply. Yes I've also heard that v.1.05 isn't worth upgrading to. The only problems I've had with Cubase is when I play around with the midi-effect "arpache" ( or whatever the name is) if I do so sometimes the system "hangs up". I think that's sad because it's such a nice toy.
About other upgrades... the main reason why I would upgrade is that my system would gain performance or stability.

Just a final question before I install it: Installing Service Pack 1 won't change the Opus-tweaks I've done.... or do I have to do that all over again?
