Are your tracks frozen? Cubase has the ability to "freeze" thereby lowering CPU usage but until you "un freeze" them you can not manipulate settings. I'm totally guessing here.

Track definately not frozen as I can still edit it in other ways,

eg. dragging the event window so as to cut off parts I dont want. But still no little volume handle or fade handle.

NO LOVE HANDLES! I CANT AFFORD TO EAT RIGHT NOW SO NO SPARE! haha.

But seriously, this is driving me up the wall. If anyone has any idea as to why this is happening it would help.

I can't find any mention to it in the HTML help screen, and no mention of it in preferences for project, event, file or anything. Im just about exhausted, I spat my dummy out and smashed a glass in frustration when I got out the room. How mature am I?!

More to the point. Now at work....and I still can't get the thing off my mind.

Now now. Just to clear it all up, if you spend money on this kind of venture, you're all retarded.

My guess is that there is a plug in that is fubar'd some how. Try disabling plugins and see what happens. It may also be that your automation information is corrupted. Just taking stabs in the dark here.

No worries. Will try disabling my plug-ins then.

Otherwise will have to try shift it into a new project and save all settings.

It was the plug-ins. Something had gone wrong in one of them. Isolated it and re-set it. All works perfectly again.

Strange because its from a plug-in I use literally all the time and never caused any bother before!

Anyway. ONWARDS!
