what do you guys think is a better set-up for a DAW, does anyone know whether Software like Sonar or CUBASE take advantage of the 64bit technology? i heard a lot of older software out there will run on a 64bit processor as a 32 bit process, and not get done any faster? but then i also saw on Sonar 6.0 it says its got this "64-bit double precision mix engine", i wonder if a 64 bit system would run that smoother/faster than a 32 bit system of greater speed, or is it mostly based on pure brute force speed+Ram?

Sonar is ready, Steinberg angered a lot of users with the announcement that the promised fixes for SX3 won't be coming because they are doing 64 bit versions.
All 3rd party plugs must also be updated/upgraded for 64bit, probably won't be cheap or free for the user.
Most likely will have to use bundled plugs until the companies catch up.
I'm in no hurry to step out on the bleeding edge, i've got a business to run.
