Does anyone know of a simple 24 bit 8 channel ADAT i/o PCI card for PC (Win98se)? I'm after something around the two to three hundred Australian dollar mark.
Basically, I have a Mac G4 running Pro Tools / Digi 001 and a PC running Reason 2. The ADAT card will be used to connect 8 channels of Reason from my PC into the 001 on my Mac.
I know of a number of cards that would do the job but they all offer way more than I need with a pricetag to match. Having said that, if I had the money, a Korg Oasys would be very tempting.
Hmmm. . Damn gear lust ;) .

Alesis Adat Edit card ??? should have 98 drivers.
I'm thinking second hand here.
Upgrade to TDM and use the 001 in the reason rig.

This one is $199 USD, whatever that transposes to in Aussie bux... it was the cheapest one @ audiomidi.com and their prices are usually pretty competitive -

if you need word clock, they have a module for this card, the EWS ClockWork module. Didn't see a price on the WC mod though, it might be under sync hardware... Steve

I'm using the Frontier Design Wavecenter PCI card in my Gigastudio PC. It does 24 bit plus 32 channels of MIDI.
I recall it as being inexpensive but I can't remember how much. I think it is within your price range though.
