How about this which monitors will be best for future ready since the digital age is coming? Edirol MA-15D, M-Audio BX5a or the AV 40. I will be using them for just music listening and playing games and stuff related to that. I will be connecting them to my PC or my portable MP3 player or other players.

Call me kooky, but last time I checked the "digital age" was already here...
Everything from this point forward is just an improvement (hopefully) on the things that have already been constructed.
IMHO, there will always be room for analog. I say that because the real world is analog. We listen in analog, the amps that push "digital speakers" are analog at the end of the line - open one up, you'll see what I mean.
Will the interconnectivity always be analog?
Maybe not, but I don't think that's gonna change in any of our lifetimes.
Digital's been around for a looong time, longer than you might think. Analog's been around longer.
Both still work and play together, in perfect harmony (mostly).
Get what you like, to hell with trends!
But will digital take over soon? Meaning no more analog?

I'd get out while I am still able bent....this yahoo ran the idea ragged over here, {old-link-removed} , as you may recall. If the purchase hasn't been made, and six days have already passed in total....run, do not walk, to the nearest exit!
Oops, I forgot about that post... Thanks for reminding me!

Is this true that all digital signal will change to analog when it plays out of the speakers? Someone said the only difference it makes is that when you use digital you can have a longer cord and you won't lose signal.

Of COURSE it's analog. (What else would it be?) Unless you've got an DA converter hard wired to your brain, everything you hear (with your analog ears) is analog.
Even if you've got "Digital" speakres, the moment it leaves the converter, (turned into AC current) heads to the pre amp, amp and speaker wiring, it's analog.
The storage, manipulation and transmission of most audio today has all but gone digital, but until they find a way to digitally bypass your ears, it's analog in the final path - from the speakers, through the air, to your ears.
