Are the Mbox inputs only compatible with Pro Tools?

My Set -up

Mbox -Pro Tools LE

Toshiba Satelite- P4

WIndows XP

Western DIgital 180gb external drive



My question.

I want to know if the MBox can only be used with the Pro Tools (for its various inputs)

I don't think I can record through it onlt sound forge or acid am I correct-? I can't use it as a souncard for other programs-

Is it only usable with Protools?

This means I have to buy some kind of firewire or usb input box to record to those outside programs right?
