I am looking for a couple of plugins and they may sound contrasting.

1st - looking for a type of aural exciter that will liven up vocals. I've tried the BBE, works pretty well but seems to maybe excite too much. I know eq will probably do the same thing, but to tell the truth, I'm not real good at the parametric eq's, and I can't find a decent graphical (slider) eq. I guess I'm looking for a quick fix (Yeh right)!

2nd - looking for a plug that softens the overal mix. Takes the digital harshness off w/out comprimising the cleanliness. Thanks all!

1 - Take a look at the PSP MixTreble plugin. http://www.pspaudioware.com

2 - They all advertise that ability. You're going to have to experiment. Try some demos, like waves renaissance, I think PSP has demo versions, and a few others. But in case you may have missed it, every plug manufacturer claims to have defeated, once and for all, that terrible digital sound.
