Hi,

I'd like to know the BASIC recording, editing and mastering techniques. Nothing fancy.
I want to record acoustic guitar and vocals, just in my room.

My questions:

- Can I record with a mic directly in my soundcard or do I need a mixer or something like that?

- Which basic editing techniques should i perform? (like compressing, limiting, normalizing, equilizing and a little reverb maybe)

- Where can I find out how to use these basic techniques?
