Can anyone recommend a beat creation library or software?
I've been using Spectrasonics Stylus but I'm looking for something more now.
I'm looking for pre-composed beats -- not something to create beats completely from scratch. I can already do that in Nuendo.

Many drum VSTi come with some midi library with beats to fit many styles..
One that I like is Addictive drums, you can buy different sounds but also different midi library seperatly.
It's very simple to use, within the vsti plugin, you can listen to the beats/midi and once you find what you want you just drag it to the midi track in your daw.
Many of those midi files were created by real drummers so they have nice dynamics and feel..
