Ive recently bought a midi keyboard and Cubase SX. Im new at this whole thing. Ive been playing keyboard for a long time, especially movie themes and famous songs.
I thought it would be fun to record movie themes and soundtracks that I play. Now the thing is I have some soundblaster Live card, know its not that good but I'm just a beginner. My question is this, can I get new sounds since the sounds that exist on the SB Live card arent sufficiant to make descent sounding movie theme music.
So can I somehow install new sounds into cubasis and use them instead of the ones i have on my SB Live?
Midi sounds that is.
basically yes, you can stick VST instruments or a vst sampler in

a great softsynth for free is the CRYSTAL from http://www.greenoak.com
it is a very CPU heavy bastard, though, so depends on your comp power... but it sounds amazing and is very versatile and tweakable...
