Hi, New to the forum,

I must say i was pretty intimidated posting on this forum. but here goes...

I've been listening to Bon Iver's For Emma Forever ago.

simply an amazing record. i heard he did everything with an SM58

Just wondering if anyone knows what he's doing to his vox?

I figure its just a simple dub panned at about 20degrees each way.

Another question. on Blindsided. at about 3:20 he does something. it sounds like everything is going in reverse for the moment. what is he doing there? is he using a reverse reverb there? if thats the effect i mean..

Hoping to learn some of these tricks to keep them in my arsenal.

Thanks

Andrew

I don't have time to reply properly and give it a listen 'cause I'm in work. But I will say. Welcome to the forum mate. The people here are not intimidating. They are some of the most friendly, helpful engineers and producers I have ever come across and they are more than willing to help anyone stuck for help who has their heart in the right place.

Enjoy your stay ;) I'm fairly new too, but I always get a good response off people and I help back where I can.

S'all good :)
