Really.. I'm trying to record some guitars on my PC with Cubase SX 3, through an M-Audio Solo FW interface... and i'm having problems with click/pop sounds in the recording process.

It's rather obvious on monitors, but you can still hear it on normal speakers. around these times: 0:08 and 0:38
any help would be VERY much appreciated.

make sure everything is clocking right. i assume the FW interfac

otherwise, make sure your comp is optimised. no screen saver, highest performance settings, etc...
and go from there. I know a suffering comp can introduce jitter to a track.
make sure your FW cable is sound...
rule out cables and the obvious.

killed all my security software...
no hardware acceleration..
its a nice spec pc... 1.768gb ram 2.4ghz processor
working on a seperate (still internal) hdd...
fw cable is fine.. so are different connections...

we've tried setting a higher Sample buffer size originally 256 i've tried the extreem 2000 and frozen to death... 512.. 384? and 1024... to no avail... sounds silly i even tried 128 and 64 but still not luck :(
i've emailed the guys at M-Audio.. hopefully they will have somthing to say about it :)
I never realised it was happening until i started using my friends monitors... shows up so much... even loading up old recordings and playing em back.. they sound awefull >.<
