I am looking to purchase a digi 002 rack interface to use with my powerbook G4. I am hoping to be able to do decent demo/project recordings for bands on-site at their rehearsal spaces.
My powerbook is a 1.5Ghz G4 with 1.25GB of ram. It is the 12" model so only has one firewire port. Digidesign says that by linking the 002 to a hard drive, and then linking the hard drive to the powerbook, there is little bandwidth loss.
Basically I am looking to find out whether or not you believe my powerbook is powerful enough to handle the load.
What does everyone think?
