I'm now thinking about upgrading my Pro Tools controller. I've already own a Control 24, but recently I've received an offer for upgrading to a D-Command.

I know that the D-Command doesn't have any mic Pre mounted on the console, so it would be necessary to buy digidesign's PRE outboard and a MIDI I/O option in order to have remote control for the PRE's... and I should add the 16 fader module to it (in order to get 24 fader mixer)

I've have my doubts on the upgrade, but my question is simple: Is the upgrading to a D-Command a good choice? Does anyone own a D-Command? If anyone has one, did you see nice improvements on the D-Command comparing to the Control 24?
