You will need to do three passes, each using the New Song mode (see p70 in the manual). The New Song mode wipes the contents of tracks 7 & 8 before a pass that mixes tracks 1 - 6 to a new song on tracks 7 & 8. You have to use the individual track level and pan controls to determine which of tracks 1 - 6 contribute to track 7 and track 8 in each pass. All the other mixing controls (delay, reverb, mastering, etc) should be off.
The first pass involves bouncing tracks 1 & 2 only to 7 & 8, track 1 panned hard L and track 2 panned hard R. The levels for tracks 4 - 6 must be at zero. After the bounce, do a stereo convert on 7 & 8. You can then transfer the contents of 7 & 8 to your PC as a stereo track. Once on the PC, split the stereo track to two mono tracks labelled 1 & 2. The stereo conversion process is needed as the Fostex will (stupidly) only transfer stereo tracks.
Now do the same for tracks 3 & 4 panned L and R, keeping the levels of tracks 1 & 2 at zero this time.
Finally, do the same for 5 & 6, but the panning and stereo convert are probably unnecessary as the Fostex assumes 5 & 6 are already a stereo pair. You will still need to split them to two mono tracks once in the PC.
Good luck!
