I have the older 801 preamp (same as the older 201 with 8 channels) and it is probably one of my favorite pres out there. It fits well with the other stuff I own (A Designs Pacifica, DAV Electronic, and Boulder Twin Servo). It is extremely clean and will not lie at all. Straight wire with gain and a sparkle on the top end. Over all a very musical preamp.

I have not heard or used one, but given the proven track record, you don't really need to hear a Grace Designs product to know that they make very good sounding professional grade quality products.
