Hi there

I've come up against the problem of communicating with vocalists and guitarists in the the other room. It's a real pain shouting through the 2 closed doors which separate us. I do this recording stuff from home you see.

What I am needing to do is get a nice Headphone Amp for sending specifically tailored mixes to people in the other room for them to hear enough of what they're performing to. Something with 4 or 5 channels would be supercool. I read some old posts but would like some up to date info on recommendations as you people here seem to have your ears to the ground regarding this stuff. Any suggestions?

Also, I need a headset so that I can communicate from my monitoring position, 2 rooms away. I though of using an SM58. However, I have no desk space left. Setting up a mic stand is a bit overkill for space etc. Therefore, the workaround for this is a headset. Do any of you use headsets with mics which you can monitor through and communicate with? Any suggestion here would be great?

The headphones themselves need not be of highest quality ideal for mixing or tracking. just optimum monitoring with communication capacity would be great. However, if this turns out to be fairly pricey and better sounding ones are not that much of a jump in price then let me know this too. Just let me know what y'all use if you use them?

Although I was trying to avoid tacky cheap flimbsy headsets that cost about 10 bucks, if anyone's found an outstanding product fairly cheap that would meet my needs than I'm all ears (no pun intended). lol
