We're a couple of UK based songwirters returned to the music business after a long layoff. We've been writing some songs in a project studio and want to come to Nashville for a couple of weeks next year to try and sell them . .maybe do a few small gigs.

-Any suggestions on how to set up such a trip?
-Who should we talk to?
-Any tips on making an impression?
-Any one on this forum in NV that would be prepared to help?
-Is there anywhere else other than NV we should consider?

Get in touch with the Nashville Songwriters Association ... http://www.nsai.com. They're songwriter oriented, very friendly and helpful.

Good luck.

Since you have some old connections, I would contact everybody you already know to arrange some introductions at publishers or at ASCAP or BMI.

At this point Nashville is the main center for songwriters in the U.S. so it's not going to be very easy to be seen. There are a lot of places songwriters can perform around town and I'd be glad to make inquiries when you have a definite schedule. Feel free to contact me.
