Gear:

• Alesis MultiMix 4 USB FX Analog Mixer
• Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer

Question:

I need to send output from the Alesis to two powered speakers. But I also need to send the output from the Alesis to a channel on the Soundcraft. What is the best way to accomplish that? The Alesis has a headphones out, but IIRC, you can't or aren't supposed to connect the headphones out to a line input. Could we use a Y cable from one of the main outs of the Alesis to the two powered speaker, and then use the other main out to go to the Soundcraft?
