Hi,

I use Superior Drummer for tracking drums and I have heard some people multi layer drums with two kick drum sounds etc.

Is this a good idea for professional sounding drums?

I find that my drums sound weak as they are and don't really stand out clearly, I don't know much about compression etc, Any recommended settings would be appreciated or any articles/websites to help.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Darren. :D

Is Superior Drummer a drum machine program? I know when I use electronic drums I'll layer 2 or sometimes even 3 different kicks and pan them. Sounds very big. I do that with snare too. Acoustic drums (blending sound replacements or triggering)... I don't but I don't think it's uncommon. Someone else should be able to give you a more sensible answer. :)
