I have heard rumors lately that ADAT lightpipe is on the lower end of the quality spectrum when it comes to patching digital audio signals.
Anyone heard the same?
Are any of you using ADAT transfer during your projects with satisfying results?
My setup: outboard pres -> aw4416 (digital mixer/recorder w/on board converters) ADAT lightpipe to RME9652 soundcard -> P4 3G intel XP with Cubase SX.
Haven't had the chace to do a shootout btw different digital methods and was wondering if you could share some of your experience with these.
thanks
dave

Not that i've ever tested, but lightpipe is said to have inherent jitter problems due to internal reflections. In the environments i've been in, i've heard all three and never had a problem with any of them.
