I am looking to open a small studio with my friend, and I was curious, Do you have to have an Mbox for pro tools? Or can you use a mixer instead. Do you have to run the mixer through the Mbox?
Pro Tools 9 is now NATIVE so you don't have to buy an Mbox or anything Digidsign/Avid hardware. You can buy a cheap presonus or m-audio and use it with pro tools. or any interface you want.
