Check out the help in your programs for time-stretching. You want to time-stretch your vocal samples. EDIT: I just Googled and found out it is in a the Time/Pitch menu of Cool Edit Pro.



Also, look into finding acapellas of songs. You cannot separate the instruments from the vocals of a finished mix.
