I record my band on my home comp using Cakewalk Pro & Acid Pro. Most of the stuff comes out damn near pro quality but I'm just missing a few things.
1) when i listen to the songs they dont have that togetherness like on a pro recording. It's like the sound is on a horizontal field, side by side instead of the circle of sound I'm looking for(confusing huh?)
2) Vocals are a big problem, I'm looking for a Mushroomhead/ Dog Fashion Disco kinda sound in the screams, but everything sounds like its in too high of the sound field. Like the vox will get this rip in them and its so annoying. I dont know if they use distortion(in which when i use it i just get this high toned, cant understand the words effect) or what.
But thats all, and i appreciate the help and this site rocks!
