they use a new motorola (I think) chip which is supposed to have very desirable latency specs. Other than that, they sound really wonderful for the money they cost. Unfortunately, they will never have the marketing power of MOTU. I can say this much. MOTU tech support is notoriously poor as well.

Money:performance ratio = Echo is the winner.
