Hi folks,
I have some questions about the AD/DA conversion... here we go!
1- When i'm using this kind of conversion? Only when i'm recording or when i'm playing at the multtrack software?
2- At bounce or mixdown proccess (without going down with sample rate)... I'm using the converters too?
3- mixing a song only with plugins to a stereo track at the same project... I'm using some kind of conversion?
Thanx

A to D
when you capture your signals into the DAW
D to A
when the DAW send the signal to your speakers so you can hear it ... includes the headphones
Also if you have a hardware effect unit you may use both D to A and A to D.
note
even if you have power speakers with SPDF input ... there is the D to A inside the speaker units.
However
when you bounce within the software and create a 44.1k/16bit stereo file and burn a CD ... the CD player does the D to A conversion.
Hope that makes some sense ... and of course there are other variants of direct net streaming and mp3 and CD players with digital outputs ... etc
I probably just made things more complicated and worse ... ??
I'll shut up now
