I have a Sound Blaster live digital right now, and I'm about to get an RME 9636 hammerfall card LINK, and I was wondering if I could (hopefully) just replace my Sound Blaster. Just to free up another PCI port and all. Will it play sound from games and DVD's and CD's just as well and everything? Or is it JUST geared towards pro audio stuff? Thanks for helping me out.

haha, wow, thanks opus. I WAS just using 98se for my second OS in my dual boot config. I just got XP corp, so I'm totally switching to that for my gaming OS. I hate the hell out of me 98 or anything before that.... except that DOS ROX! haha. As for that other problem you're having... yes, you're in the grand canyon. So, XP with games and an RME card works great, right? I can pooh on my sound blaster? thanks for the help.
