Hi,
I've noticed a little silent space before the selection in the new created file when bouncing to disk. Is it always like that or am I missing something?
I work in a radio station and exact amount of time in productions is often required.
The solution so far has been opening the new file again and cut the edges within the sample editor. Not so funny.
Any help will be appreciated

Hi Capi
I just did a quick bounce with no plugins. There's no delay
I then threw on the MW limiter and maxed out the lookahead..ran the bounce and got a delay around 900 samples..hmm. I wasn't aware of this since I rarley bounce.
Are your tracks being delayed or is it just a silence that appears in front of a correctly placed soundbite?
I can see how a strip full of plugs could wind up being a PITA in your situation

Hi Chris, thanks for replying. What I get is silence in the beginning of the new created soundbite, after bounce. Even when my tracks are in the very beginning of the sequence. I use a lot of plugs, so I really hope MOTU solves this in next versions of DP.

Wouldn't this be plug-in latency? Whenever I print fx to a different track (MW especially) I have to nudge them back quite a bit in order to get it to where it was originally...
The lookahead function is awesome, but it´s a PITA on the toms and snare whenever I choose to gate them. The phasing due to the latency is attrocious.
I imagine something similar, if not the same, happens when you do a bounce w/ plugs inserted in the Master...

Hi Juergen,
In this case I'm talking about a hughe delay, I guess toms wouldn't be just phased but flammed.
I will try not to have the seq at the very beginning, after I solve a problem with sampler Unity DS-1.

I forgot something else on bouncing: How are we suposed to burn
I forgot something else on bouncing: How are we suposed to burn a cd if we can´t bounce to stereo interleaved files (I MUST be missing something here)?

Once you have got your final mix ready, go to the soundbites win
Once you have got your final mix ready, go to the soundbites window and export the soundbite using the mini menu. You choose an export format (like, AIFF interleaved) and there you have it.
Gav :D
I use Jam so dual mono files are fine Use the export feature

Use the export feature that Gav mentioned. Hey it's just another friggin file....
What app are you burning with?

I hear ya..but I was under the apparently false assumtion that bouncing corrected the latency. I've just found out that I was wrong by perfoming my own test. I've always known that the lookahead feature was one the worst offenders but I thought that a bounce would correct it. Needless to say I don't bounce so I was in the dark on this issue

Thanks Gav and Chris, that will do the job just fine... though it´s one more step.
I use Roxio Toast Titanium for burning CDs.
