Hi all,
I am currently setting up a new home studio and I am using nearfields for all my work.
I want to get into mastering and feel its either time to get some better nearfields or studio monitors.
I spoke to a mastering engineer yesterday and he is using JBL LSR 32 monitors, a bit out of my price range however there must be cheaper alternatives and thats only one opinion.
he had them set up on stands which I found strange?
Anyhow, my question isdo I step up to better nearfields or go for some flush mount studio monitors and keep the nearfields as a second reference?
Any setup help, monitor suggestions and reasons why would be greatly appreciated.
