I've used a LCA2B twice and don't think I would ever own one. I do own one stereo and three mono Vari-Mu's by Manley so you can guess which one I like better. The Manley vari-mu is sure more popular and is used by many tracking, mixing and mastering studios so that should tell you something.
The Tubetech is a handy peice of gear. I little compression will glue a mix together right nice. It doesn't do massive compression well. It really starts slamming and pumping and the attack and release controls are pretty damn touchy. It adds a nice lil' sheen to things.
It's hard to find much stuff on Tube tech, I wonder why?
