My interface only has one headphone output, but I have just discovered that a friend will be visiting over the weekend to see we can jam and record together.
Having only one headphone output, I have thought about purchasing a headphone amp with more outputs, but then it occured to me that maybe the patchbay could do a job of splitting the signal.
A connection from the interface headphone output into the back input of the patchbay, giving 2 headphone outputs on front of patchbay. is that likely to work?

in principle that will work given the HP amp has the grunt to dr

but a Y-cord would ba simpler way and won't involve the patch pannel
and may negate any chances of shorting things out
