Well, maybe not exactly half a second, but perhaps a bit more or bit less...I am doing a quick thing at a friend's place and I have never used Logic. The soundcard is a Delta 44, I am not sure how it's setup driverwise...
The Puter is a Pentium III 800mhz with 256MB RAM, one HD only (not sure if it's 7200rpm or 5400rpm). I was thinking it's the drive that's got the system stuff on it, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions...
Any ideas?
I got this little girl in the booth that gets disconcentrated so quickly that quick punches are a must...
Thanks!

Hi Juergen!
That one is easy to solve:
Just activate Punch on the Fly - hold down the Record-button and you will see the option.

don´t use the rec command. You need to assign the KeyCommand "RecordToggle" to another key on your computorkeyboard.
I use Command+Spacebar.
I´ve punched in 24 tracks this way without any problems.

...and you record everything from where you started until you drop out or stop. So you can still move the left region boundary for smooth transitions.
