Well no I havent seen advertisments with him but I have read articles about sussound mixing, were the subject of monitors came up. And I have read interviews with him, maybe he gets paid for mention those monitors, who knows.
Francis Buckley is supposed to have mixed an entire album with Events, wich he won a grammy for. I was never programmed for suspicion :D

I will see if I can get a set of them to review. I did a review on the little brothers of the MSP10 the MSP5's and I quite liked them, thank you. I think it's the same high frquency driver with a larger cab and woofer .. but I am not positve. The 5s were really nice with extended low freq response (for such a small speaker) and outstanding imaging! I was bummed when I had to pack them up and send them back.. If the MSP10s sound anywhere as good as the MSP5s, I might even keep them this time around .. But Yamaha don't cut no deals ... I think they wanted more for the ones they sent out before than I could get for them on the open market ..

Yeah he mentioned them in at least two interviews I found, just like one of many subjects in those interviews, so I didnt get suspicious. Those interviews were primarly about 5.1, mixing.
It's funny though, I came across those interviews after reading about Steely Dan.
If I look up Mr.Scheiner on Google, there is little to be found.
About those monitors, a friend of mine who is one of the busiest engineers here in Iceland, has access to Genelecs, Msp10's and Ns10's, in two biggest rooms here. He ALLWAYS, uses the old Ns10's. I have to nag and act like a little kid to have him fire up those Genelecs(big 3way ones, built into the wall).
