I would vote for the E47. I tried one the other day on a female vocalist and was pretty astonished. It did remind me of my old U47, (that was stolen, ouch) with out all of the hissy-fits that an old mic can give you.
A client of mine sold his U99, we couldn't find enough uses for it.
(very particular mic.)
When it was the right choice, it was really the right choice but just not enough times.
