Hi everyone. I record my vocals using Cubase on karaoke tracks. What i do is i import the karaoke track track in it and insert another audio track, to record vocals. After the vocals are recorded. I just play both the tracks simaltaneously, this is where the problem arises, the vocals are a bit fast than the actual karaoke track, making it way out of sync.
In the past also i have been recording vocals in the same manner with no problem at all. But suddenly this problem arose. Im using abtoshiba tcra laptop for recording with a core 2 duo processor and 3 gig ram.
I know there are people out here who can help solve this problem. I will be waiting for the reply.
Thanks in advance.
Uzair.

May be this the reason but as i told you i have been recording my songs in similar fashion with np. but recently i re-installed win xp on my machine due to some virus problems. After doing a clean install i installed all the required programs, after which this problem started to occur.
Im also planning to buy a external mixer, will that solve tge problem??
I had a problem similar to this when I first started recording.
I had a problem similar to this when I first started recording. It turned out that my sound card sucked I was running an 8th inch patch straight into my comp from a sound board.
I fixed it by getting an external sound card. rrr pre-amp module. I'm not exactly sure what they are called but they function as an external sound card anyway. you patch that with firewire or usb into your computer and switch the input on your recording program.
This is what I got, Although its pretty low end.
