No doubt lol! I suspect only a very rich collector would buy anything like this. The vintage fairchild 670 certainly wouldn't sounds as good as example: unfairchild 670 and I suspect the UAD 670 is close enough. $250 vs $75,000

Wrong. A real 670 properly calibrated in good working condition will blow ANY clone out of the water. I should know, I own two of them and am fortunate enough to have been able to do shootouts with all the clones. I also own most all the other classic ones: 660,  LA2A, LA2, 1176, 2254, 2264, 33609, Alan Smart, SSL384, BA6A, 160's, 165a's. They are all great for what they do. That you are even talking plugins says you have never used a real 670. $250 sounds like $250. Yes the price is in the stratosphere party due to no more NOS 6386 tubes, no more parts and the fact that nothing else compares to it. Having said that, if you don't have anything to compare it to, then whatever you are using will sound just fine. You can make great records at home with a laptop. But if you get the chance to use a real 670, you'll understand.

There’s so many errors in here. First of all you won’t find a Fairchild 670 for this price anymore. This was a good(!) price regardless what you might think. Last year most of the 670s have been sucked up by one buyer and what’s left are not many.

And for the one who thinks that a real 670 sounds like the UAD, you couldn’t be more wrong. A well maintained 670 sounds insane! The R&S U23 and the BA6a are in the same league but the 670 and 660s are very unique.

What are there "so many errors here"?

I think you would have to be stinking rich or very inexperienced in pro audio to pay $73,000 for a compressor today. Anyone that has the original Fairchild 670, I am happy for you but you are dreaming if you think it would sound like $73,000. Definitely a good collectors item.

If I was going to go for a 670 today I would likely choose the UnFairchild 670M II

The UnFairchild 670M II takes the iconic 670 design and improves upon it. Things like a hard bypass, input or output / trim features, M/S processing, filters for vinyl and and hpf kick drum/ subs. Beautiful!
