Hello, i'm a musician and composer, althoug graphic designer, so i realize that i dont want to spend the rest of my life sitting on a computer designing stuff, so i'm about to take it to the next level: music.

I have my own songs and, at the moment, i'm producing a record (my music), but, in the other hand, i was wondering how might be the correct or better way to get into the sound design world, for films, adds etc. but what i dont have a clue is how to begin to do that. I was thinking about creating a website with some tracks that i have that could fix these patterns, i mean 14 seconds, 24 seconds, 36 seconds or even a minute trackof all genres, folk, jazz, funk, rock...just to have some kind of portfolio to show. With this website online (and these track copyrighted) hire some booking agency. This is what i think could be a "first step" to take my next level.

What do you think i should or should not to do? thanxs you all for the help.

Do it. Or don't.

Make a web site devoted to your music, sell your chops. Express yourself.

You could go home and get on welfare or you could chase a dream. It's up to you.

Your ideas seem logical, I have no clue what you can do or indeed want to do, you have to decide.

It's a hard business filled with glamor, glamor is like scum, it sits on the top of a pond and coats you if you dip into it. Don't get caught up in self aggrandisement and asshattery, just be yourself and sell your skills.

Enjoy yourself and your music and you'll be fine.
