What is SIDE Chain - for audio or video production

If you were thinking of doing any revisions to the video, it might be interesting to add examples of when you would choose to use a compressor versus a VCA for the ducker. For the specific application of voice-over in videos, I almost always go for a VCA, as it tends to give greater clarity to the voice (particularly with male speakers). Of course, most compressors can be set up to act like a VCA, at least over the dynamic range needed for ducking, and the attack/release controls are usually more flexible in a compressor.
