feedback rejection

By Joong-In Rhee, Thu, 05/28/2020 - 01:01

I give music lessons online and want to upgrade the sound to include an external mic with an interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2). Which mic has least feedback? I don't mind dynamic one - how about the Shure 57 or 58? Should I get a shotgun mic instead? Which brand?

Thank you in advance for helping a newbie out...

I've read a good bit about gain staging, and thought I had finally gotten a basic understanding, but when I experimented with how a now thought it should be done. disaster.

My daughter asked me to help out with her outdoor wedding. Among other things she needs me to do, I need to mic the minister and the happy couple. I don't have lavalieres and don't want to mess with cordless rigs. I'll be running the mics through a Mackie vlz pro 16, using the mixer pres.

Hi

I am a vocalist in quite a successful function rock/pop band. Typical set up really. Drummer (a loud one - aren't they all?), bass, electric guitar, and keyboards (the keyboard player swaps on to a 2nd electric guitar occasionally. I play acoustic.

Hi everyone,

We have a female singing into a Sennheiser wireless headset. The dynamic range is just too much to be on a stationary mic attached to her head.

This is a rock band and has a pretty loud sound. She has some soul on some songs and some songs she sings more backup. Very dynamic range.

Hi,

I searched, sort of.

This should be an easy one. I curious what the difference is between the SM series and Beta series.

How different is an SM58 from the Beta58?

I've tried to decipher the information from the sure website, but I'm just not all that smart.

Thanks
