wow, pretty nice sounding eq. doesn't sound anything like the stock version. very sweet midrange, actually sounds sweet all around. Just had a listen to Dave Mcnair's and was quite impressed. Pick up a used one and pop in the $800 board and you've got a nice eq.

Have seen eh sexy pic and info on Fletcher's site about the CS-1.
Anyone used them?
What do they sound like?
Is the compressor actually useable on things other than vocals unlike in 737?
EQ? good bad indifferent?

I have been thinking about aquiring one of these from Fletcher. I am after a clean and trasparent channle strip and this seems to fit the bill.
But how does it sound in comparison to Avalon 737sp... which i dont really like except for bass DI (kinda expensive one at that!) and Millennia origin voice channel which really did not give me a major woody either given its price and adverse 'Hype'
Is the EQ 'broad' or surgical and how does it sound?
I want pre that is full yet transparent.. is this the ticket?
