Radial JD7 vs. A/B's and DI's Individually

I'm interested in the DI/Reamping options that are out there for studio recording. The Jd7 seems to do it all with a 1k asking price. The alternative is about $700 bucks and would comprise of an a/b for the two guitars into a direct box and an amp splitter for live tracking. Then a reamamp box into the amp splitter for re amping.

Hey everybody i just embarked on my first reamping episode, sending my d.i. out through my PreSonus audiobox, into the XLR input on my jcr reamp box, then the output of the reamp box hitting my mic'd up peavey 6505+. I was getting an okay tone but the amount of noise coming from it makes the tone unusable.

Radial X-Amp noise

Hi, I recently purchased a Radial X-Amp with high hopes on reamping.

I connect my X-Amp to the guitar amp and no noise... all is good,

then when I plug into the X-Amp's input from the Fireface's out (TRS>XLR) I get huge hum noise.

Thats when the ground lift is engaged, when its not it sounds like a jet engine.

Radial JDI passive direct box for bass?

i got a chance to buy a radial jdi for a good price and did some searches but they mostly relate to guitars and not bass. i would use it just for bass and I'm using a $50 rapco passive di for bass now.it does the job but I'm thinking i would notice a difference with the jensen transformer in the jdi. think i would?

Has anyone used the Radial X-Amp amp driver?

I am interested in this for re-amping jazz guitar (archtop). I DI with an Avalon U5 and use a reflexion filter with mic to mic up the guitar acoustically. I like the idea of not having an amp in the same room so I can record the pure sound of my archtop although would like to add my Polytone miced up into the mix.

Radial DI vs. . Countryman

I currently have a Countryman DI, an L.R. Baggs Paracoustic, and a Whirlwind passive DI. The church has been borrowing all of them every Sunday, and I am going to get them to buy a couple of good DIs so that I can take my stuff home once in a while. I'd like to get a Radial comparable to the Countryman (to be used for bass and/or keys).
