Just starting using a pair of RODE NT5's with directional capsules to record the guzheng. After some experimenting with positions, I've settled on both overhead, one on each side, about 3ft from the instrument. I've added no effects to this recording other than a compressor. What do you think?

I would like to analyze analog circuits by sending a stimulus through it and then recording the output, changing the circuit slightly and then running the test again to produce two *almost* identical .wav files that can then be compared sample-for-sample.

Had a bit of a disaster over Xmas.

A water pipe in our ceiling burst and basically flooded the ceiling, which drained itself through the few exit points it had - one of which came across another ceiling and down the back of my control room wall, and flooded the desk, soaking most of my rack gear from the bottom - everything sits in 4U racks in a circle right around the desk.

Ok, well, I'm a very long time PT user(LE and HD) and the other day MattP insisted I give REAPER a shot. I definitely tortured it all day today on my Quad Opteron rig. Pretty impressive.
