I'm a professional https://sikksounds… drum beat maker and I use Audacity to record my guitar compositions. I'd like to add drums to the mix for some very simple demos. I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this. Other software packages (GarageBand, Pro Tools, etc.) might be better for this, but every time I look at something else, the notion of learning how to use it overwhelms me.

I recommend looking into Presonus Capture
Hi HelenRose, welcome to our community.
An easier DAW (plugin and play)... I recommend looking into Presonus StudioLive console https://www.presonu… and using, specifically Capture https://www.presonu…
Its very simple. Its an excellent system for musicians or music creators not wanting to get bogged down in the multi tracking learning curve of other DAW programs.
Or you could look into Ableton live
The more common DAW platform for making beats in a multi track format is Ableton.
Akai software and specifically my choice is the MPC hardware.
Hope this helps.

If you can learn audacity you can learn any daw
hi, welcome to RO! You would have to export/bounce your drum beats to an audio file from your drum software, and import the drum beats into an audio track in audacity. Then you would record your guitar to the drum beat, on a new audio track.
If you can learn audacity you can learn any daw as they are all similar when it comes to the basic tasks. You already know most of what you’d need to know for basic demos. I have little doubt you’d be flying on any daw in no time.
How do you make beats on Audacity?
How do you make beats on Audacity?
pretty sure this post and member has no interest in help. I googled this. Lets see is "she" even answers us.
Creating beats can be done by configuring audio loops side by side to form a composition. Open the program or download the free version of Audacity at the online site. Click "File" from the top toolbar, then select "New" to create a blank audio track(s).

I had a feeling it was just spam, since it would be odd that a professional beat maker, would be using audacity since it’s not vsti capable, and most beat making programs support audio by now.
So...how do you make beats…
