Hello:
I have an older version of Cakewalk Audio Pro (version 5.0). I also have Emagic's Logic Platinum version for Windows (version 4.x). Although I like the Logic program, I've used the cakewalk program for years and miss using it. I'm interested in upgrading to the Sonar program. Is there anyone who has both audio/sequencing programs on their computer? If so, what type of problems/conflicts do you experience (if any) by having both programs on your system?
Also, I need to be able to sync to an ADAT tape deck. How solid is the sync between Sonar and ADAT? What is your sync configuration between ADAT and Sonar?
My computer system is:
Dell 420 Workstation
PIII 766
512 MB DDRAM
Two hard disk drives at 7200 RPM (2nd drive dedicated to autio recording)
MOTU 2408 mkII
MOTU Midi Timepiece (parellel port version)
DirectX 7.1
Emagic Logic (LAWP)
Cakewalk AudioPro version 5
Steinberg's Wavelab
Sound Forge 5.0
Vegas Video 2.0c
Thanks ahead for your response.

i had both on my system before reformatting and doing a clean install of my DAW. i had no problems with either of them on the same system. (had to reformat because this was the only system i had fully built at the time and so i went on the internet with it and got viruses which messed up my system  and with the addition of downloading and deleting of files, i wasn't the only one using the computer for internet, made it even worse)

Well, I hate to do or say this BUt, JUST GET SONAR.... you will be happy running Sonar on your system, You will see and it may help you with your end product, but, for sure you won't be sad you did upgrade to Sonar.
