hey gang, i know someone selling a pair of atc scm 20a's, but they are the "home entertainment" version, not the "professional" version. from what i've heard, a lot of companies that make monitors use the exact same speakers for their home theatre range as their studio monitors, but with a different finish to make it look more lounge-room friendly. does anyone know if this is true of the atcs? the guy says he needs to offload them soon and he's got a couple of other people interested, so i need to find out asap. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

hey jimbo

i sent you a private message,,

i have the SCM 20 pros and had the scm 20 home version here at my place, er cause i sell em,,,,

what i undertsand is both same drivers, potentially different cross over points, , and the home versions are prettier, bigger, and heavier i think ,,

it'll come down to price,,,, i think, plus i believe the consumer version is cheaper too

hey sanity inn, i didn't get your private message. is it something you can't say in front of everybody? i ended up turning the atcs down. someone at the company told me the model in question wasn't a home equivalent of the scm 20 pro, but something much cheaper that didn't even have a pro equivalent. i knew it was too good to be true. meanwhile...where can a get a pair of 2nd hand scm 20s?
