Can anyone suggest a good helpful book that can help me improve my mixing? I use Cubase 4 and an Alesis 16 Firewire. One that is Cubase specific may be helpful, but I'm more interested in something that can better my mixes all around.

I have read most of this book and would say you need to buy it. It takes a very different look on mixing but it will help you so much!!!!

Are you talking about the Mixing Handbook, or Mastering Audio? I have Mastering Audio and agree, it's a fantastic book. But I'd like to get a better insight on how to achieve different sounds from more the mixing side!
I've read hit/or/miss reviews on the Mixing Handbook. Some people liked it, others didn't.
