If anyone can help me. I am building a house. I want to have a full studio incorporated into the blueprints. My question is how big should the area be. I know that i want to have a separate ctrl room, pre-pro area, a booth big enough to hold a band and some smaller vocal booths. Does anyone have any recommendations? The house is should be btw 10 and 16000sq. I need to talk to my architect soon, whatever you can say would be helpful.

Just do a search here on RO and look for studio floorplan. Or blueprint. It's under the topic Acoustics and Design. The guys on here helped me out with the same question!
Make sure you drive 2 ground rods at your new location when you establish your grounding system. This will help you make sure you have a good ground for your studio, and will reduce any hums and/or ground loops. They must be NO less than 6 feet apart. (It's in the National Electrical Code book Section 250)
Also make sure your electrical contractor knows you dont want any flourecent tubes anywhere in the entire house. They are bad for studio's because it's not strickly a capacitive load. Like a regular 60W light bulb.
Don't worry, if your building new. Then you get to say what goes where. Let me know if I can be of anymore help?
FYI--I've been in the housing business for about 10 to 12 years.
