Hi!
I'm willing to buy 3x Alesis AI-3 converters to connect to a creamware card. This would give me 24 in / 24 out, so I could use the computer as a recorder and mix out of the box.
The AI-3 has a 98 dB dynamic range, which is not the best you can have with a converter... I'm used to RME with its 117 db...
Do you think I can use a noise reduction system like dolbys with it ?
I thought of some dbx 150 because they are cheap, any other ideas ?
Will it be really helpful with dynamics ? will it add some noise ?
thanks.

The dbx150 was designed and meant to be used for tape in days that have long ago passed. In the digital age, you would find no improvement and likely would find that it makes things sound worse.
