i think you might be a little confused about all this and the process. i don't think you need a master recorder, and recording it onto the kenwood wouldn't make the quality any better.... unless you have some effect between the recorder and master recorder.

and just use headphones to listen to everything. i wouldn't use a surround sound system, it wouldn't make it sound realistic. headphones would be better. do you have a mic? get a mic to record guitar, or just use the amps headphone output to run into the recorder. either will work. but for vocals, you'll need a mic.

nothing..... do you have outboard gear that you will use to master the recordings? otherwise, your wasting time re-recording it on another tape, plus it will degrade the sound a little too.
