I want to know how to have 1 track, and add an effect at the beginning (or end) and have it fade into another effect or the regular track. I know how to make 1 track have 2 effects, but it just abruptly cuts off, and sounds like crap. I use Audio Studio 2004 by the way. Any tips or suggestions would be great, and if anyone is willing to walk me through this step by step my AIM is Wombat Assault.

That's a total of 3 tracks. Hope that makes sense. Now all you have to do is record those 3 tracks. And mix them down to your taste. The best thing about doing it this way is that one track can start at any time you want, and the other can have the different effect(s), and start whenever you feel is appropriate. You should have NO PROBLEMS getting the result you want doing it this way.

Most hosts (Dunno about Audio Studio) have auto cross-fade features that you could take advantage of.
In a modular host like energyXT, Bidule, or the racks in Tracktion, you could use tricky routing and automation to do it instead of cross-fading the whole track.

Sorry- doesn't help you...
you'll have to set-up Aux buses and screw with automation.
